The President has also appointed Manoj Sinha, to be the next Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office. But who is Manoj Sinha?

This 61-year-old politician has been a three-time Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member of Parliament (MP) in the Lok Sabha, representing Ghazipur.
Manoj Sinha maintains a low-profile image, wears his trademark dhoti and long kurta. He is fondly called Vikas Purush by his followers.
He has a B.Tech And M.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi.
During his student days, Sinha was the students’ union president in the Banaras Hindu University.
An agriculturalist at heart and a silent performer who consciously maintains a low profile, Sinha has been among the best performing members of #Parliament in the 13th Lok Sabha in 1999.
