Kashmir University students seek utilisation of INTERNAL ASSESSMENT as pass criteria in accordance to UGC GUIDELINES
The students of different branches of kashmir university ,Mcom ,MBA ,M tech (SSM College ) bring this matter into Froth that kashmir university is adamant in not following UGC guidelines as the order published few days mentioned that we going to hold exams of odd semester or clubing the two semesters , even the unversity has an option to judge students on the internal assements as per UGC GUIDELINES .
The students said that "we have already suffered a lot due to last year turmoil and no access to Internet .
Our time already lost due to the ongoing situation now we are hounded in uncertainty what next.
Universities and NIT'S in other states have already started following UGC guidlines and even they pass on high grades but we are left in lurch .
This undue delay and uncertainty has pilled up so much that we are left in deprived state.
Kashmir University recently decided to hold the internal assessment test online and set June 15 deadline for completing the syllabus of undergraduate and post-graduate students.
Class representatives of department of the varsity have written a letter to authorities of Kashmir University demanding their mass promotion on internal assessment as per UGC GUIDELINES
“That the students of batch 2018 and 2019 should be promoted to next semesters officially with immediate effect as students are not able to focus on next semesters. The students do not demand mass promotion but evaluation as per UGC protocol that are based on internal assessment and previous record only,” the students said and apprised that ease option of internal assessment for PG exams of Ist and 2nd semester Batch 2019 and 2018 including M tech (SSM College) Should be utilised as the students of this part have most suffered due to post lockdown of August 5th after abrogation of article than rest of country .The time is important as HRD has approve
